A brief look at who is on the Nottingham University Council

The Nottingham University Council is a valuable part of this Uni's framework, both in terms of governance as well as debating and approving important decisions which define its framework and also its long term plans. Dame Elizabeth Fradd DBE became Vice president of the University Council in January 2012 and is a member of the Risk & Audit Board. Her passion lies in healthcare and she is a qualified children’s nurse and an Independent Health Service Advisor. Her profile of employment includes board development, governance reviews and assisting senior staff.

Dr Gaby Neher became a member of the University Council in the year 2013 as one of the Senate of representatives. In the year 1997 she became Assistant Professor in Renaissance Art History and also Director of Teaching and Senior Tutor for the History of Art Department of Nottingham University. She is the treasurer of the Institute for Medieval Research.

David Ross was a law student at Nottingham University. After that, Ross qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Anderson & Co. before he co-founded The Carphone Warehouse.
